A Northeastern School's Innovative Stride: VKV Oyan's Aerobic Composter Advances in National Competition
In a significant achievement for education in North East India, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV) Oyan has made it to the grand finale of Big Bang 2026 The Great Rotary Innovation Challenge. This prestigious event, organized by the Rotary Club of Coimbatore West, showcases the country's most innovative school projects.
The Journey to the Finals
Out of over 700 project submissions from 24 states, VKV Oyan's project, titled "Aerobic Composter," was one of the 162 projects shortlisted for the grand finale. The school's innovative project placed it among the top innovative teams in the country.
In the preliminary round, three participants from VKV Oyan presented their projects through Google Meet. Following the evaluation, one Class 8 student, Rubu Daniel, was selected for the grand finale with his project, the Aerobic Composter.
