Privacy Policy
The short version: JINGULI is a publication, not a data business. We collect the minimum required to serve and improve the site, we sell nothing, and you can read exactly what happens below.

Who We Are
jinguli.connectquest.co.in ("JINGULI", "we") is operated by Connect Quest, a division of CQNE Datalabs and Technologies Private Limited, an Indian company headquartered in Northeast India. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), CQNE Datalabs and Technologies Private Limited is the data fiduciary for personal data processed through this website.
02 · Collection
Data We Collect
JINGULI has no user accounts, no comment system, and no paywall. The data we handle is correspondingly small:
Data collected automatically
- Server and security logs — IP address, browser user-agent, requested URL, referrer, and timestamp, recorded by our web server and CDN for security, abuse prevention, and debugging. Retained for a limited period and then rotated out.
- Analytics events — anonymised page-view and interaction data via Google Analytics 4 (see Cookies & Analytics below).
- Search queries — terms you type into our site search are processed to return results and appear in standard server logs. They are not linked to an identity or profile.
Data you give us
- Email correspondence — if you write to our editorial, corrections, privacy, or business addresses, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it solely to handle your enquiry.
Data we do not collect
- No account registration, passwords, or profiles.
- No payment or financial information.
- No sale, rental, or trade of personal data to anyone, for any purpose.
03 · Cookies & Analytics
Cookies & Analytics
JINGULI sets no first-party tracking cookies of its own. Two categories of cookies may be set when you visit:
- Google Analytics 4 — we use GA4 to understand aggregate
readership: which articles are read, from which regions, on which devices. GA4
sets its own cookies (e.g.
_ga) and processes data per Google's Privacy Policy. We use this data only in aggregate; we do not build individual reader profiles. - Cloudflare — our CDN and security layer may set operational cookies (e.g. bot-mitigation tokens) strictly necessary to deliver the site securely.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on, or browse with tracker-blocking extensions. Every article on JINGULI remains fully readable with all non-essential cookies blocked — we will never gate content behind tracking consent.
04 · Processors
Third-Party Services
Delivering this site involves the following third-party services, each of which may technically receive your IP address as part of serving a request:
- Cloudflare — content delivery, caching, DDoS protection.
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregate readership analytics.
- Google Fonts — typeface delivery for the site's typography.
- Unsplash — delivery of stock editorial imagery on some articles.
Some of these providers process data on servers outside India. Such transfers occur under the providers' published safeguards and as permitted under the DPDP Act. We do not grant any third party the right to use reader data for their own advertising on our behalf.
05 · Your Rights
Your Rights Under the DPDP Act 2023
As a data principal under Indian law, you have the right to:
- Access — a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it has been processed.
- Correction and erasure — correction of inaccurate data and erasure of personal data no longer required for the purpose it was collected.
- Grievance redressal — a readily available means to have complaints heard and resolved.
- Nomination — to nominate another individual to exercise these rights in the event of death or incapacity.
In practice, because we hold almost no identifiable data, most requests resolve to email correspondence and log entries. We will respond to verified requests within the timelines prescribed under the DPDP Act. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
JINGULI is a general-audience technical publication. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and we serve no behavioural advertising to anyone.
