Preparing for the Digital Future: AI Courses Launched in Arunachal Pradesh
In a significant stride towards digital literacy and future-ready skills, the Government of Arunachal Pradesh recently unveiled two artificial intelligence (AI) courses, the AI Explorer Programme and the AI Job Ready Programme, at the Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) in West Siang district. These initiatives aim to equip students and youths with the essential skills needed to thrive in the rapidly evolving digital economy.
Nurturing Curiosity: AI Explorer Programme
The AI Explorer Programme, a five-day boot camp, is designed for students from Grades 6 to 12. This introductory programme aims to foster curiosity about AI among young learners, helping them understand its fundamental principles, applications, and real-world uses across various industries. The programme will be conducted for 250 students across five schools in the state.
Career-Oriented: AI Job Ready Programme
The AI Job Ready Programme, an advanced, 60-hour programme, is targeted at college students and graduates. This comprehensive training equips participants with practical, job-oriented AI and technology skills that align with current industry needs. The programme offers hands-on experience in programming, AI model building, and writing AI code. It will be conducted for 120 students in two colleges.
