In an effort to safeguard the well-being of students from the Northeast region, the North East Students Organisation (NESO) has urged the state governments to establish a comprehensive database of students who study outside the region. NESO Chief Adviser Samujjal Bhattacharya emphasized that the primary reason for such incidents is the general lack of awareness about the Northeast region among the population in other parts of India.
