Project Suvidha 2.0: A Pioneering Initiative for Police Units in Northeast India

In a significant stride towards enhancing the living conditions and well-being of police personnel, the Inspector General of Police (Operations), Apur Bitin, inaugurated Project Suvidha 2.0 at the 1st India Reserve Battalion (IRBn) headquarters in Tirap district's Namsangmukh on January 16. This project aims to transform the battalion's campus into a self-sustaining, eco-friendly hub.

A Model for Welfare-Driven Development

Commandant Sachin Kumar Singhal of the 1st IRBn was praised for his visionary leadership by the IGP. The battalion's efforts were hailed as a model for welfare-driven development in police units across the region. The facilities unveiled include a multipurpose hall, indoor gym, wet and dry canteen, clothing store, mess, obstacle training facility, nature walk, and a children's park.

Holistic Development for a Healthier, Happier Force

Project Suvidha 2.0 is designed to enhance the ease of living and happiness index for personnel and their families. It is structured on a four-pillared approach: health and wellbeing, community living, targeted welfare, and a self-reliant ecosystem. This approach promotes fitness, social harmony, and sustainability within the battalion.

To boost the morale of the personnel, commendation certificates were awarded to dedicated staff. This recognition serves as a reminder of the value placed on hard work and dedication within the force.
