Meghalaya Women's Cricket Team Sets Sights on BCCI Tournament

In a significant step for women's cricket in Meghalaya, a 15-member squad has been named by the Meghalaya Cricket Association's senior women's selection committee for the BCCI's Senior Women One Day Trophy 2025-26 plate group. The team will be led by stalwart Debasmita Dutta, with Monica Lyngdoh Phawa serving as vice-captain.
The team will undergo a preparatory camp from 25th January to 2nd February at the RBDCA Cricket Ground in Pahamsning, Nongkhrah, Ri-Bhoi. Players and support staff from Khasi-Jaintia Hills will report to Polo Ground on 24th January at 2.30 pm for departure to Nongkhrah, while those from Garo Hills will report directly at the venue.

Meghalaya will compete against Sikkim, Bihar, Manipur, Mizoram, and Nagaland in the plate group. The matches will take place in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, with the first game against Sikkim scheduled for 6th February.
