Enhancing Emergency Medical Response in Nagaland
In a significant stride towards better healthcare services, the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) recently donated two ambulances to Tizit PHC and Wakching PHC in Nagaland's Mon district. This donation is part of NHIDCL's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Boosting Healthcare Delivery
The ambulances, handed over by Mon District Commissioner (DC) Wennyei Konyak, are expected to significantly improve emergency medical response in the district. These vehicles will play a crucial role in ensuring timely medical assistance, particularly in remote areas where access to healthcare facilities is limited.
Promoting Judicious Use
Konyak emphasized the importance of the PHCs taking ownership of the vehicles and using them judiciously to cater to the needs of the people. He expressed his gratitude to NHIDCL for their generous gesture.
Continuing Support
It is worth noting that NHIDCL has shown consistent support for the healthcare sector in Nagaland. In April 2021, they donated 24 basic life support (BLS) ambulances to the Nagaland government, and in October 2021, they donated four more ambulances to the Nagaland Police.
