Parakram Diwas in Pasighat: Honoring Netaji's Legacy

Commemorating Netaji's Birth Anniversary in Pasighat

On a chilly January day in Pasighat, East Siang, the Indian Army's Spear Corps marked Parakram Diwas at the Sigar military station. This significant event was organized to honor the indomitable spirit, visionary leadership, and substantial contributions of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose to India's freedom struggle.

Fostering Connections between the Army and Students

As part of the celebrations, educators and students from the Rashtriya Raksha University and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Pasighat had the opportunity to interact closely with the Indian Army personnel. This unique engagement allowed students to gain valuable insights into the Army's functioning, traditions, and ethos.

Insights into the Indian Army and India's Freedom Struggle

Throughout the day, the students were treated to a documentary on the Indian National Army (INA) and Netaji, a motivational video on the Indian Army, and glimpses of Operation Sindoor. In addition, they were shown displays of new-generation equipment and capabilities.

Relevance to the North East Region and India

The spirit of unity and collaboration demonstrated during Parakram Diwas is a testament to the growing importance of educational institutions and the armed forces working together to foster a sense of national pride and understanding of India's rich history. This event holds particular significance for the North East region, as it emphasizes the shared values and contributions of its people to the country's freedom struggle.

Looking Forward: Inspiring Future Generations

As we reflect on the Parakram Diwas celebrations in Pasighat, it is essential to recognize the enduring impact of Netaji's legacy on India's freedom and the values that continue to guide the nation today. By fostering such connections between the armed forces and educational institutions, we can inspire future generations to carry on the spirit of courage, determination, and patriotism embodied by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
