Dibrugarh, Assam - The Dibrugarh Hanumanbax Surajmall Kanoi (DHSK) College is set to celebrate the 77th Republic Day by conferring the prestigious Shiksha Sirumoni award on Jyoti Prasad Kanoi, a noted social worker, industrialist, and educationist. This event marks a significant milestone in the college's history, as it honors several eminent personalities for their contributions across various fields.

Acknowledging Diverse Achievements

Among the honorees, Parasha Konwar, the programme executive and announcer at Dibrugarh Radio Station, will receive the Kantha Saurav award. Moitrayee Phukan, a popular radio announcer and teacher, will be honored with the Suriya Kantha title. Ahmed Ali Aayubi, a former student and social worker, will be conferred the Manab Bandhu award.

Recognizing Long-Standing Faculty Members

The event will also recognize faculty members who have completed 25 years of service, marking their silver jubilee. These faculty members include Lamkholal Doungel, Mridul Sarma, Rajib Lochan Bora, Sanchita Boruah, Aditya Dahal, Aditi Konwar Gogoi, and Ananta Teron.

Apurba Dutta and Amitav Doley will be honored for bringing accolades to the institution, while several other staff members will be recognized for their dedicated service.

Celebrating Cultural Figures and Alumni

Teacher, social worker, and cultural activist Beauty Lekharu Saikia, cultural worker Sutapa Choudhury, poet and writer Minakhi Das Baruah, and poet-writer Bitumoni Gogoi are among the former students and cultural figures who will be felicitated.
