The architecture ensures synchronous execution of bill payments for immediate user certainty, even when a provider fails.

Synchronous Execution

Instead of relying on asynchronous webhooks that delay user certainty, Elites Africa processes bill payments synchronously. This allows for immediate detection of provider failures and quick retries or refunds without leaving users waiting.

Internal Code Mapping

When integrating multiple providers, Elites Africa faced a challenge: different providers use different naming conventions and response structures. To solve this, an Internal Abstraction Layer was implemented, allowing the system to be provider-agnostic. The system resolves internal codes to provider-specific metadata based on provider availability.
